The pain of Afro-American (Black American) is understandable and I have a solidarity with black American and share their suffering. The racism in US and European countries is well rooted and white supremacy has its root in institutions that reproduce the supremacy discourse.
But What I am expecting is that the Afro-American elite and the American white-humanist active in civil society with the support of the grass root movement (both black and white people) can together tackle the structural racism in US. I am aware that a part of black elite in US are institutionalized in the system and because of their economic-political interest are not joining a movement that can change and tackle the structural racism. In addition without active black political participation in institutional governance in US and participation of non-whites in institutions in European countries the elimination of structural racism is impossible. Talking about multiculturalism without political power is non sense and can not change the white supremacy discourse and structural racism.
Moreover, the structural racism in Europe will take a longer time than US to tackle or and pave a way for legal-social-political equality and elimination the racial discrimination against the non-white .
Furthermore the balance of power at the global level and the development of African , Asian, and Latin American counties followed by the grass roots movement in the US and Europe is likely can change and eliminate the structural racism.
Following the murder of Floyd in US shows that the institutional racism is well-rooted in the police organization both in US and Europe and it is reflected in the police behavior when they are facing or arresting non-whites.
Finally, I have been facing structural and institutional racism and structural discrimination many times during my life in Sweden both in labour market and in society.
